Pac 12 Pigskin Message Board

Came across an interesting talent analysis on Twitter by @westcoastcfb and Ryan Abraham.

Most 4 & 5 star players per 247's composite rankings:

1. OSU - 66

2. Bama - 63
3. UGA - 61
4. USC - 52
5. LSU - 50
6. Clem - 46
7. Aub - 44
7. Mich - 44
7. ND - 44
7. OU - 44
11. FSU - 43
12. Tex - 42
13. PSU - 41
14. UF - 35
14. Tenn - 35
14. TAMU - 35
17. Miami - 34
18. UW - 32
19. Stanford - 31
20. UCLA - 28

And now for the Pac-12 only:

1. USC - 52
2. UW - 32
3. Stanford - 31
4. UCLA - 28
5. Oregon - 19
6. ASU - 16
7. Utah - 7
7. Cal - 7
9. Colorado - 6
10. Arizona - 3
10. Wazzu - 3
12. OSU - 2

USC is the only team in the top 10 nationally to not currently be ranked in the AP poll. In fact, the Trojans haven't even received a single vote in the AP poll in several weeks.

Also, the rest of USC's division has 60 4 or 5 star players combined - just 8 more than the Trojans - and the only schools in USC's division that have more than seven 4 or 5 star players have 1st-year head coaches.

Good God, Helton is pathetic.  I suppose you can put Willie Taggart in that camp as well, though he gets a slight pass for being a 1st year coach there.  However, it's not like Jimbo left the cupboard bare.

No excuse for Harbaugh, but at least he's top 25.  Amazing he can't get an elite QB to play for him.
